The diversity of products in the gift shop, all sourced from Scotland, adds a distinct local flavour to Studio Two Six One.
Studio Two Six One is a vibrant hub for creativity and community engagement. It is run by a experienced teacher of Art & Design Karin Hepburn. Karin Hepburn has been involved in the Arts for over 30 years. Predominantly in teaching art but also as an SQA marker for many years, this has contributed to the development of the establishment of both the gallery and the gift shop.
The diversity of products in the gift shop, all sourced from Scotland, adds a distinct local flavour to Studio Two Six One. From silver jewellery to porcelain ceramics and even local books, there's something for everyone, offering a unique opportunity for patrons to support local creators. The expansion into creative workshops further solidifies Studio Two Six One's role as a community resource. Offering classes for both children and adults in various artistic disciplines ensures that there's a space for everyone to explore their creativity and learn new skills. The Paint & Sip sessions for adults sound particularly enjoyable, combining art with a social atmosphere. Highlighting guest artists like Lesley Banks adds another layer of prestige to Studio Two Six One. It not only provides exposure for talented artists but also enriches the experience for visitors, exposing them to a diverse range of artistic styles and perspectives. Overall, Studio Two Six One seems to be fulfilling its mission as a creative hub, bringing together artists, artisans, and art enthusiasts from the local community and beyond. It's a testament to Karin's vision and dedication to fostering creativity and cultural appreciation in the area. |
