Long Business Description

Vocayoga is a fun way to learn singing and yoga together in a group, although it can also be learned in individual sessions.  Classes are held once a month at the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Bellahouston Park.  They can be booked through eventbrite.co.uk, and the latest class is here:

Check my website for Pamper Packages for women, which include Vocayoga, Celtic Reiki/Sound Healing, and an oracle card reading.

Vocayoga is suitable for complete beginners, you don’t have to know how to do yoga or singing, and although it’s especially beneficial for those who are a bit nervous about using their voice, or who think they can’t sing, it's also useful for singers who want a refresher.   Through the use of breathing techniques, Qigong, and Seasonal Yoga, you are able to find your voice in a safe and supportive space. There are no vocal exercises as such, but you will learn chanting and have the opportunity to make sound in a more natural way than you might in formal vocal tuition.  The yoga enhances the voicework by gently leading you away from the fear of it, and through the use of the voice and breath you might find you can stretch that bit more and have the confidence to try yoga where you might not have before.  A healing circle often forms part of the class, where each participants gets an opportunity to deeply relax while the class sing healing sounds, this has become a favourite!

The classes often finish with a yoga nidra meditation and soundbath with the lovely sounds of a crystal singing pyramid, so you will leave feeling totally rested and restored, and hopefully with a bit more confidence and vitality!

Vocayoga is a unique combination of voice and yoga to release and capture enhanced energy. I took part in outdoor sessions in Queen's Park and experienced a magical transformation of both stimulation and calmness. Vivienne takes great care to ensure all participants are engaging in a positive and fulfilling experience.

""I had a 1 to 1 session with Vivienne last Friday as part of a wonderful birthday weekend. What a treat it was ! The yoga, breath and voicework was both gentle and incredibly powerful at the same time. Combined with the balancing at the end I felt a great lightness, sense of release and deep peace at the end. Viv is an excellent practitioner and I can highly recommend her commitment to the work and the benefits you will receive."

Vivienne is a lovely Teacher and she shares and guides you through Vocayoga practice in such a thoughtful and enlightened way. I felt totally held and confident with her supporting me through these wonderful practices and I felt great afterwards. It certainly released stress from my body whist freeing my voice, so I did feel as light as air afterwards. Honestly if your interested, don't hesitate its so good and Vivienne is so skilled!

It was great! I couldn't have asked for a better class for my first ever group yoga session. I especially enjoyed the yoga nidra/soundbath with the crystal singing pyramid and 45 mins passed like 15. I felt energised for the rest of the day. Already looking forward to the next one and will recommend to others.
