The Mindfulness Based Living Course is an 8-week programme designed specifically to help you work with your mind more easily and integrate mindfulness into every daily life. The course also incorporates cultivating loving kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others.
As a charity our aim is to offer subsidized places to make mindfulness courses more accessible to the local community. The course fee is £112 for eight weeks incorporating two hour weekly sessions, a one day retreat and an optional follow up session after the course has finished. We also offer a concession rate for people on low income/state benefits for £56.00.
Research has shown and past course members who have completed the eight week mindfulness course report:
* Reductions in stress, anxiety, depression and pain levels
* Improved level of self-awareness and emotional regulation
* Enhanced quality and duration of sleep
* Increased energy levels, focus and concentration
* Greater optimism, self-confidence and improved self-esteem
A full course manual and guided audio practices are provided during the course and for lifetime use after the course ends. We will also explore many concepts and practical ideas to integrate mindfulness into everyday life at home, work and relationships.
Chairs and a variety of meditation cushions, mats and meditation chairs will be provided to suit all levels of mobility and comfort. You are encouraged to wear loose fitting or comfortable clothes and bring any additional including warm socks and water bottle.
