Surface light/colour/texture Exhibition

We are three artists – Alison Corfield, Alistair Hamilton and Ian McKinnell – living and working in South West Scotland. Although we each work in quite different ways, attention to surface is a vein that runs through the works shown here and informs our individual practice – hence the title. “Light, colour, texture” make up our palette and the equivalent of an artist’s sketch book. From observations of these three elements and a little artistic interpretation, abstract impressionistic works are created, whilst remaining true to nature.
