In this class we will move from the fiery energies of Summer to earthy Late Summer and together create the stillness that moving can create..
This event is the perfect opportunity to unwind and destress as our energies begin to transition from the fire of Summer to earthier Late Summer. This aim of this class is to help restore our inner peace and balance through our connection to the earth. The meridians we will work on are Stomach and Spleen, and the benefits of working on these energy centres can be:
- a stronger sense of your own centre
- improved digestion
- better sleep
- more energy
- more confidence in self
- more compassion for others
- a feeling of safety
- awareness when taking on too much/time management
- a stronger connection to the earth
How often do you walk or work in nature? Or does your employment/self employment/parenting schedule mean that it’s on your To Do list but somehow it keeps going further and further down? Those who garden or walk regularly in nature always exude a healthy, relaxed glow while those of us who just never quite get round to it feel the “fomo” and try to “keep calm and carry on”..
Come and get earthed with us! We will be practising Breathwork, we will have a Movement warmup, Seasonal Qigong and Yoga with some (non compulsory) voicework, followed by our ever popular healing circle which gives each participant a chance to fully unwind in a safe space while the group offers sound healing in the form of drumming, playing singing bowls, toning, chanting or Reiki (if there are any practitioners in the group who feel the call)
We finish with a meditation and soundbath with the lovely sounds of my crystal pyramid and vocalisation, to allow you to feel nourished, supported and ready for the challenges of the colder months.
Please bring a yoga mat and a cushion (maybe a light blanket), and if you would like to you are welcome to bring an instrument or drum.
Look forward to seeing you then, in this lovely quiet space overlooking a wild flower garden.
The venue also has a nice cafe with a balcony where it is lovely to sit in the late afternoon sunshine (a girl can visualise!) ~ and Bellahouston Park (or Maxwell Park nearby) are the perfect setting for a barefoot walk on the grass or a tree hug!
Om Shanti 💚💚
