Velvet Sparrow, based on Clarkston Street in the Southside, said they are “heartbroken” about the news.
In a Facebook post, the venue said it will last operate tomorrow, Sunday, February 9.

The message read: “This was unexpected and unavoidable due to issues regarding our lease.
“We have loved every single minute of serving this community and we are devastated to be saying goodbye like this. We’ve appreciated all of our customers’ ongoing support and we will miss sharing laughs with you all.”
Dozens of people expressed their devastation in the comments.
One person said: “So sorry to hear this was so lovely having you round the corner.”
Another replied: “Oh no! So sad to read this guys. We loved coming in and having a chat with you guys. Good luck for the future.”
A third added: “A huge loss for the area.”
