GLASGOW CHEF MODOU DIAGNE OPENS STUDIO MODOU WEST
Chef Modou Diagne has officially opened the doors to Studio Modou West, bringing his signature accessible fine dining concept to Glasgow’s West End. Following the success of Studio Modou Southside, the new opening marks the next chapter for the chef, whose journey in Glasgow hospitality began as a kitchen porter over a decade ago. Located in the West End, Studio Modou West will focus on intimate dining, high-energy service and refined menus designed to make quality dining more accessible. The restaurant will offer a rotating selection of menus including a five-course San Sebastian-inspired tasting experience, set menus and sharing plates.
Speaking on the opening, Chef Modou Diagne said: “Glasgow became my home. It’s the city that believed in me and showed me value in dreaming. Studio Modou West is my promise to continue creating great food, great service and an experience people genuinely want to come back to.” The new restaurant launches with a commitment to maintaining accessible pricing, with menus starting from £25 per person, as Modou looks to widen access to quality dining experiences in the city.
“This isn’t a concept,” added Modou. “This is my life’s work — wholly owned by me, cooked especially for you.” Studio Modou West is now officially open in Glasgow’s West End.
